According to Geneva’s public prosecutor, Switzerland will return about $380 million syphoned from Nigeria by a former military leader, General Sani Abacha, under the supervision of the World Bank. This is in line with a deal agreed between Nigeria and the Abacha family in July 2014.
The agreement reached by both parties allows for the funds to be confiscated and returned to Nigeria while the Federal Government would in turn drop its case against the former military dictator's son , Abba Abacha.
